So I've decided to pull out the ballot box fires into a new thread. New information is available.
article said:
The sources said the incendiary device used in the first arson, back on Oct. 8, had "Free Gaza" and "Free Palestine" on it. The two subsequent devices, set off in the early hours of Monday morning in Vancouver, Washington and nearby Portland, Oregon, carried the slogan "Free Gaza."

One of the sources told ABC News it was unclear whether these markings reflect the views of a pro-Palestine activist -- or if it was an individual trying to manipulate existing divisions in the U.S.
This would explain why they believed the incidents to be related. The first reaction is obviously, "Are you fucking kidding me?! You doing this over Gaza?!" But almost as quickly, my brain shift to this image (not this exact image, I had another in mind of the letters):

anthrax-letter-3.jpg

For those unfamiliar, this was a letter included in a series of anthrax (actual anthrax) attacks via the mail back in 2001. They were oddly mailed to Democrats and the MSM (not certain that term exist yet). Those hints, as well as the in your face projection of the letters, I didn't believe the attacker was actually Muslim. It can be argued whether we ever found out who did send these, however, FBI targeted non-Muslims in the investigation.

Now, it is not impossible that this was a dastardly criminal act by people making a protest regarding Gaza. Portland, Oregon, however, in 2019, had 400 Palestinians living there. The Pacific Northwest is not exactly a heavy Palestinian area. And it would seem quite an odd and very counterproductive way to protest. So, my initial reaction makes me feel like it is an attempt to manipulate people into thinking it is Palestinians. That is merely a hunch. I was probably right about it 23 years ago... I'm due being right again soon.

Whomever burned those ballot collection boxes needs to be caught and convicted for such a maddening crime.

I would not discount it just because there are few Palestinians there. It only takes one.
Besides, far-left has taken up Gaza as a cause even if they are not themselves Palestinian, or even just Arab or Muslim. And there are many leftists in Portlandia.

As does blocking highways and bridges or "burning this bitch down" (Head 2014). That does not prevent extremists from doing it.
Btw, after Biden was inaugurated in 2021, Antifa vandalized buildings in Portland and Seattle.

We shall see, once he or they have been arrested.

Amen to that.
Btw, Georgia also has drop boxes. But they are inside government buildings. That makes them somewhat less convenient, as they are only accessible during business hours, but also far more secure.
