ATLANTA, GA -- It was reported that a cable news channel will resort to using hyperbole when reporting a news story on the Internet later today. Sources close to the news channel indicated that the story was "newsworthy", however, it did not rise to the level of importance that would be suggested both in the headline and the reporting.
An initial analysis of web browsers indicated that Internet link clicks was not going to reach the required threshold for revenue generation. The source indicated that at this point, the news room editor made the decision that the existing news story would require the addition of hyperbole in order to entice enough web site browsers to click on the headline.
It was not yet apparent if the headline header "Breaking News" was also going to be used and if so, whether it would be in ALL CAPS.
