CLEVELAND, OH -- In a surprising announcement, the three term sitting Mayor of Cleveland, Frank Jackson has issue a stern warning to the Jimmy Haslam, the owner of the Cleveland Browns. "Get better or we will annex the stadium."

Mayor Jackson spoke in front of a gaggle of reporters when releasing his statement. "This isn't a publicity stunt. I'm as serious as it gets."

The Cleveland Browns were purchased by the Flying Pilot J owner back in 2012. Since then, the team has recorded 20 wins in 5 and half seasons. In their last two and a half seasons, the Browns have won only 4 games, having gone winless so far this season.

In general, the Browns have been floundering since being reinstated back into the NFL after Art Modell moved the original team to Baltimore. The team has had 8 different head coaches and over two dozen starting QBs.

"Owner Haslam has demanded the County pay to up keep his stadium, but we have yet to see any progress with the Browns franchise," noted Mayor Jackson. "In fact, we have seen the team devolve with almost no signs of improving. I am making this promise today, if Haslam does not turn this team around shortly, we will be forced to take action in Cleveland."

Mayor Jackson continued on to explain the drawn up plans to annex the stadium location to a municipality that was more fitting for a football team of such "poor executive stewardship", East Cleveland.

"We have dignity in this City. Cleveland is comprised of proud fans. We have taken some tough hits, but have had great success too. And if Jimmy Haslam doesn't improve on his leadership of the Browns, we will no longer tolerate our city's name being associated with it."

Attempts to contact City of East Cleveland officials was made, but we never got through the automated messaging system.

I got through to East Cleveland. They said, and I quote, “Our property values are already scraping bottom. We don’t need a Superfund site masquerading as a sports franchise.”

And the day I come up with this idea, the Browns let Garrapollo head to San Francisco for just a 2nd round pick, when the Browns were willing to offer more during the draft.

And they hosed up their attempt to trade for McCarron, by missing the deadline.

McCarron is like,
