Congress possibly going to use jargon to eliminate cost of tax cut

Adopting the “current policy baseline,” as it’s called, could be the only way for the GOP to make Trump’s 2017 tax cuts permanent and avoid painful cuts to federal programs, as well as pile on new income tax exemptions for tips, overtime and Social Security. Trump is expected to discuss the move with members of the tax-writing Senate Finance Committee at a White House meeting Thursday.

So, the GOP is seriously pondering using a grammatical gimmick to ignore the cost of extending a tax cut.

Geez. Couple this with the expected loss in tax revenue because of "changing taxpayer behavior coupled with President Donald Trump’s rapid demolition of parts of the IRS" and we are well on our way to third world shitholedom.
I guess Republicans making such a hash of things is the only hope I have for 2028.
