How seriously should we take these political-religious groups? How strong of a role are they playing now in Right Wing politics and American politics in the Trump era? These people want to end the secular state as we have known it and replace it with a religious state and they plainly state their intent to do so. They have long denied that the founders of the US believed in or intended any separation of church and state and they clearly play a major part in many right wing political groups. Mike Johnson is associated with them, among others.
