This is almost a month old, but the first I heard of it... surprising seeing how alarming it is. link

article said:
Comcast has agreed to let its customers stream HBO and Showtime on Roku devices.

It wasn't clear
why Comcast blocked the HBO and Showtime apps on Roku boxes while allowing them on other hardware, such as the Apple TV. Roku complained about the situation to the Federal Communications Commission and was recently able to wring an agreement out of Comcast.
So not only is Comcast blocking certain content to get fees, they are blocking certain devices from receiving content to get fees. I suppose one could make a ridiculous argument that Comcast has a right in the first case, but in the second case? How in the world is that kosher?

The merger with Time Warner will totally increase competition. [/brain dead sycophant]

Not enough people are paying attention to this.
