That's right folks. Liverpool, the presumptive over/underacheiver of the year award winner in the EPL is in a second final this year. They face two time defending winners Seville.
Liverpool lost in the League Cup final this year, in penalties against Manchester City, where Liverpool sent a bunch of guys to the line that don't shoot the ball.
Hopefully their inspired performances that saw Liverpool triumph over Manchester United, the huge come back in an emotional tribute to Hillsborough against Borussia Dortmand at Anfield, and the come back against Villereal can see them through one more match and defeat Spanish "giants" Seville in a sold out 1,930 capacity goat herders showroom in Basel, Switzerland.
A victory in Basel would leap The Reds into next season's Champions League which could help Liverpool in the transfer market over the 12 minute break between seasons. A little history, I believe the last time Liverpool was in Basel was the last time they were in the Champions League, terribly underperforming and ready to crash out of first the Champions League, then Europa League.
