I guess it makes sense.

I like how Sam Seder says that the stronger impact on them is a feature and not a bug.

This is old news, known for many years now. That it in fact was aimed at blacks and has over the years meant many young blacks did stiff prison sentences for minor marijuana charges should be good enough reason to legalize marijuana for once and for all. And, we should start with the Obama administration's refusal to defer to state laws legalizing marijuana. Combined with racist profiling, stop and frisk laws, its been destructive and has obviously failed to stop marijuana use. Bernie seems to be the only candidate that gets it.

This story has also just gotten onto TYT.

Someone should ask Obama or at least his Press Sec about this.

I wonder if there is audio of Ehrlichman saying that. It would be pretty useful. A drug legalization PAC could make great commercials with it.

And Zootopia is about this.

It’s straight out of the realization that members of the CIA either wittingly or unwittingly helped introduce crack cocaine into minority communities in the 1970s and ’80s, even though the press and some political leaders denied it for years. The subsequent destruction of mostly black neighborhoods made it easier for white political leaders and pundits to dismiss African-American communities as filled with “crack babies,” “welfare queens” and “superpredators.” There can never be enough attention paid to this dark time in American history, even if it comes out of the mouths of furry animated creatures.

Didn't the government covertly sell a lot of dope to Vietnam vets while they were over there in the war?
