God must be appalled that American leaders are speaking out against Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Act, says Wisconsin state senator and congressional candidate Glenn Grothman.

Grothman, who made the statement in an appearance earlier this month on Milwaukee-based Voice of Christian Youth America’s In Focus TV program, asserted in the same interview that the pending Employment Non-Discrimination Act would grant preferences to LGBT people in hiring and promotion.

He told host Jim Schneider that while the U.S. once was known for sending agricultural assistance and Christian missionaries to Africa, “instead, what we have is the Secretary of State going to Africa and educating Ugandans, or saying he is going to send American scientists to Uganda to explain how normal homosexuality is.”

I read this as him being angry that God was angry people were speaking against legal gay marriage in Uruguay.

But I see this is about Uganda and the anti-gay legislation. What in the heck is a State Senator getting involved in this for?

"Yes! Shame on those silly Americans! What are they thinking, trying to actually enter the 21st century where putting people to death for their sexuality is frowned upon! Thank god the Ugandans still know the only good queer is a dead queer" /failed attempt at satire because it's actually what some people believe.

Edit; my bad... apparently the actual bill just mandates life imprisonment for 'aggravated homosexuality'. So you know, progress!

Progress? Perhaps. Then again, considering what prison might be like for these people.

Why not? Why are Christian "missionaries" allowed to go to Africa and push anti-gay legislation there (because they're failing here) yet not allow anyone else with an opposing viewpoint to travel there and fight these people that are spreading the love of Jesus?

It's the 21st century and Christians are still trying to get heretics killed. They're just moving on to places where it's more socially acceptable. Yet another shameful period in Christian history.
