A thread for posting those music albums, from any time or genre, that you feel are strong all the way through, or at least strong enough most of the way through to warrant 'great album'.
Obviously, the key criteria is consistent strength, so you don't necessarily have to like the album or the genre, but I'm guessing you probably will. That said, feel free to post one by an artist whose music is not your thing but who made an album that you perhaps begrudgingly have to admit is strong, in your opinion.
Some accompanying words of explanation, commentary, justification or anecdote are welcome, but not necessary.
I'm happy to define the term 'album' as flexibly as is reasonable. Not your own mixes or playlists though, I'm starting a separate thread for that.
ETA: I think it'd be ok to cite 'Various' albums or anthologies, but I'm not sure, since those are already "Best ofs". Let's just say I'm not mainly looking for that.
