Backlash on the Iran nuke deal is started. Violence is rising.

Iranian missiles reportedly fired at Israel, and Israel is responding. Netanyahu has been prodding the USA to attack Iran since Obama. That report from Israel went right to Trump's brain as probably planned.

If Israel comes under serious attack we will likely be drawn in. If that happens the whole region could go up. I've known Iranians. A direct attack by the USA on Iran would galvanize the region against us.

We're sick as a people and our leadership is representative of that sickness.

For some reason my sister wanted to talk politics this morning. She's a GOP'er and Trump fan. She says we should torture people; says we shouldn't help out foreign nations; said that we need to take care of our problems here first. We need to cut social spending programs. She has a PhD in psychology btw.

I was too tired from working until 1 in the morning. I said a few things and then went off to work. It was all amicable.

She is one of the primary people this nation has become. Contradictory, spiteful, mean spirited towards others, myopic. It's always easy to go on about Trump because he's such a combination of spectacular fireworks show and nuclear train wreck, but it's the American people who are truly the problem.

It doesn't really matter how we got here. We're hear and there's nothing that's going to change it. Where we'd always been entitled to our own opinion, we're now entitled to our own reality. If we want something to be a certain way, then that's the way it is; and we have Trump on TV every day proving it. Every decent person should find Trump utterly repulsive, but instead, at least 60,000,000 Americans think he's great.

A person like Trump should have been good looking, smooth, well spoken, and sharp as a razor. That is, for this nation to be led astray should've taken a charismatic figure of historic proportions. But instead, it was a typical Fox News viewer who won the White House. Thus, he perfectly represents America.

i have to slightly disagree with you here, because of the implication that trump lead anyone astray, because i don't see how he did.
he's a walking manifestation of the last 40 years of conservative thinking, i don't see how you need to angle deception into it to see why he's so beloved by those who support him - he's simply everything they want in a president.

now we agree the american people are the problem, i think we just disagree on the specifics.
you seem to think the problem is that americans were duped by trump, but he's so dumb that it shows how even dumber they were for being duped.
i think the problem is that trump is everything half of america wants to be, and that on its own is the issue.

It is not just Trump alone that may lead us into war with Iran. It is also the hawkish Christian conservatives.

The old Christian anti Semitism over the last few decades has morphed to an identification with Israel. Part of is is a prophesy from somewhere that the second coming is predicated on the restoration of Israel and the temple. Iran is the enemy of Israel. In the campaign Romney, a friend of Netanyahu, said he would attack Iran then walked it back.

There was a report on Israeli programs that target American Christians.

I agree that it is a sickness and Trump along with Congress is a reelection.

You are fitting into the Israel right our wrong narrative of the conservatives. This tit for tat nonsense is part of the sickness.

The destruction of Iran and along with it tye Saudi oil fields would be global economic catastrophe. It is that fact more than anything else that has kept a thin peace with Iran in spite of provocation's. Since Obama Netanyahu has been pushing almost daring us to attack Iran.

I still find it unlikely that we will go for a massive bombing campaign in Iran. For one thing, the Repugs are already fighting for their lives in Congress. Gas prices would probably spike significantly with such a disruption. And everyone seems to want to drive a SUV/truck again. Where have I seen that before? I would find it hard to believe that Iran isn't prepared at least somewhat to respond asymmetrically. The Iranians clearly have some sharp military leadership, as they and Russia routed Turkey, the US, SA and their pet royal piglets, within Syria. Iran could really turn up the heat for us in Afghanistan no matter how much we bomb them.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hezbollah is going to strike back at Israel sometime in the next couple of months.

Have you actually wrapped up those other wars you have in the Middle East yet? Maybe you should look into doing that before starting up another one.
