This year, 2023, was one of incredible lows and wonderful highs. After a 2-year battle, my divorce was final in June. The final 3-day court appointment included my ex perjuring herself (which she admitted in a letter to judge afterward). Ultimately the judge ruled in my favor in all aspects, however collecting on what she owes me will be very difficult. My Mother passed in July at age 89, surrounded by her children in her home on her own terms. And in November my son was married in front of 60 family and friends (in a brew pub!). So, I decided to make a deconstructed holiday tree. I found this small tree trunk in the woods while walking my dog. Turning it over I found it neatly hollowed out from end to end. I brought it home, dried it, removed the soft bits, added LED string and a cheep tree stand.
