So just a bit of context; Kevin Rudd was Australia's Prime Minister after John Howard in 2007 and after Julia Gillard in 2013. He kind of set the trend in Australia having less stable leadership stable than Italy and is also, in my opinion, a thin skinned narcissist.

I've gotta be honest, the next party that actually implement the same Cross Media Ownership Laws that we had in the 80's will have my vote for life. I can't help but think that this is not unique to Australia as much as I would wish.

I don't think enough people realise we are becoming a one party state through apathy, if nothing else.

I signed the APH petition a week or two ago, when it first hit Reddit.

I don't expect the government to do anything - the LNP is the beneficiary of Murdoch's propaganda. I hope the opposition and the crossbench recognise it as a political opportunity. I also hope that all the people who are angry about this see that there's hundreds of thousands of other people who also angry, find some solidarity, and turn this into a serious election issue.

If the APH website didn't keep breaking down under the sudden influx of traffic, the number of signatories would probably be considerably higher. The petition is open until 4 November, so there's still time to people to sign.
