Israel to build a new settlement

A 'quarter century'...you do funny math. Additionally, the population of Jewish Israili settlers in the West Bank (WB) has roughly doubled over the last 2 decades. From your own article:

1999 is 18 years ago, and this only refers to official Israeli state supported settlements. Never mind that government officials have regularly assisted illegal settlements.
According to the Israeli human rights group, B'Tselem, Israel last established new settlements in the West Bank in 1999, although outposts such as Amona, that settlers set up without official permission, have been built far more recently.
<snip>
The Amona issue had caused tension within Netanyahu's coalition government. But it eased after he got behind a law proposed by the Jewish Home party, a far-right political ally, to retroactively legalize dozens of outposts. This would not apply to Amona because of the existing court decision.

This part of the pic doesn't show, but states:
Among the 100 outposts mostly established in the last 2 decades, about 1/3 have been, or will be retroactively legalized.
Green: Authorized settlements
Orange: Unauthorized settlements.

Israel has two choices over the long haul, outside of crazy shit like genocide:
(1) If they want the WB to be part of Israel as they appear to be doing, then they have to let the Palestinians the right to vote in Israeli elections. Otherwise, this is clearly apartheid.
(2) Or work towards some sort of peace deal, and pull their settlers out of the WB.

Personally, I think option (2) is far saner than working towards a permanent apartheid...

The point is you guys keep saying they are building settlements. This article clearly shows that that's false--what is really going on is construction within existing settlements, not an expansion of the border.

It also shows the reporters know the truth despite what they continually report about building settlements.

So that is the name of your sock puppet: You Guys; Kind of a funny name, but got it.

Yeah, a 100 new settlements in 20 years, that is kind of like building settlements...except in alt-reality land.

Not really...But that is your spin.

Additionally, declaring occupied WB areas as Israeli state property/land is also seizure; destroying Palestinian farm land and buildings (without building new settlements) is also seizure; creating Israeli only walled road ways is also seizure; taking Palestinian water rights is also seizure. This is all part of Israeli systematic expansion of their apartheid.

Not to mention the nature reserves and military exclusion zones.

The first in a quarter century. Where is all the settlement-building you guys have been talking about all this time??

The illegal settlements created by religious nutjobs and supported by the Israeli military because why the hell not, and also the existing settlements expanding not only their population but also, in many cases, their physical perimeter AND their use of Palestinian water sources for their own use.

Also, last we forget: what set of Alternate Facts are you going to cough up to try and justify THIS new settlement? I suppose this is punishment for the Bowling Green Massacre?
