In the shadows of the scandal that shook the GOP with Rep. Householder, now the GOP is under threat again with a resolution put forth in the Legislature to impeach Republican Governor Mike Dewine. The shame that befell the GOP with the Householder bribery scandal is now magnified beyond belief with the crimes that Gov. Dewine is accused of, including: Violated the separation of powers by having the Ohio Department of Health issue orders, “Conspired” with Secretary of State Frank LaRose to cancel the March 17 primary election, Unconstitutionally ordered the closure of businesses,... wait... is this all about Covid-19? Wait... who is doing this?
We are talking about a GOP Governor who currently has a 81% approval rating AMONG DEMOCRATS! It is actually only 74% among Republicans. What in the hell is wrong with these idiots?! Ohio has done pretty well Covid-19 wise. Gov. Dewine didn't buckle to Trump, and saved probably 500 to 1000 lives in Ohio in doing so. And there are radicals in his own party that want to fire him?!
JFCoaS, some in the GOP are brain dead. The good news is the movement to impeach Dewine is also DOA, but Rep. Cupp, the new Speaker of the Legislature's words weren't exactly comforting in his dismissal of the impeachment plan.article said:Three Ohio House Republicans have drafted articles of impeachment against Gov. Mike DeWine, claiming many of his administration’s coronavirus orders are unconstitutional and violate Ohioans’ civil liberties.
Seriously the GOP as a whole is brain dead. The guy is pretty much avowing the high crime in the criticism, just saying it isn't impeachable.Asshole in charge of Ohio Legislature after last asshole fired for bribery said:Legitimate debate and disagreement is occurring over the scope and breadth of some of the governor’s orders issued through the health department. I will continue to raise my concerns and disagreements and those of House members with the governor. However, informed dialogue and the law-making process are the best way to resolve these issues.
