This celebration of Bette Midler stems from a tweet that the singer/actress put out which was parodying Trump, but she mistakenly thought was a real quotation from him. She later corrected herself for it:

President Trump graciously and mercifully accepted the correction and was willing to extend an olive branch in peace. Oh wait, that was not what happened. Instead, he escalated it, tweeting in the middle of the night while in Europe, on taxpayer dime:
