WASHINGTON DC -- The Pentagon is denying reports coming from the Wall Street Journal that codes that are used to authorize a nuclear strike have been hidden from the President.
According to the Wall Street Journal, since the announcement of the Impeachment inquiry, the President has recently been observed to be "falling apart" according to White House Staff and his twitter account which has recently been posting profanity laced messages. The Wall Street Journal noted that the codes had been placed out of reach from the President of whom people fear might lash out at a moments notice. Similar concerns arose shortly before Nixon resigned in 1974 as well.
The Wall Street Journal only indicated that the codes were "hidden from the President" and did not report how.
A statement released by the Pentagon noted: "The Pentagon denies that the nuclear codes have been sealed in several envelopes, placed inside a safe inside a safe, dumped in a container which was filled with concrete, then itself dumped into Chesapeake Bay, targeted by a Seawolf Class attack submarine and destroyed."
