COLUMBUS, OH — Protestors have gathered in varying numbers, at varying cities including state capitals. However, they all shared the same message, “Stop trying to save our lives!”
“The Constitution gives us the right to decide to die needlessly in a plague,” shouted Debbie Masterson who was adorned in a red, white, and blue outfit. The out of work hair dresser protested that she lost her job because the “RINO” Governor of Ohio Mike Dewine was more interested in “saving lives than her job”.
Turnout at the events have varied both in reality and as reported. Thousands were reported to arrive at the Lansing, Michigan protest by media where protesters who were stuck in the cars in the gridlock protest, claimed there were tens of thousands there. Drone footage was shared showing multiple lanes of cars not moving indicating a bunch of cars arrived and not moving. It wasn’t known which cars were protesting and which cars were caught in the middle.
Other protests, including at Columbus were outdoors where people gathered together, some with masks, some without masks, some with lots of guns, some with concealed weapon(s), some staying a safe distance away, others not.
It is unclear just how many people’s deaths will be the result of these protests, but the protestors were trying to convey that it was not up to the Government as to whether people lived or died from a disease that could be mitigated by a soft shutdown.
The protests have become more numerous, much to the dismay of the Governors. Democrat Governors have pleaded with President Trump to rein in the discord. Almost all of the protestors have been Trump supporters.
“President Trump is the best leader to have in a time like this,” shared Tom Walker, an out of work landscape architect. “He knew that the Government has no right to interfere in whether we live or die. He is against commie health care that could save lives and when this coronavirus came ashore, he did as little as possible to interfere with it. Now the Dumbocrats have messed up and now the choice of whether we live or die is partially out of our hands. That is tyranny.”
