Do we find in animals who care for their young a greater propensity towards working together with adults of the same species in packs ect?

Elephants, chimps, and lions.

Both female limos and feral house cats form groups for mothering and self protection. Elephant females act collectively.

Saw a show on Meerkats. There are specific jobs performed by adults which they shift around from tine to time. Lookouts sounding an alarm, gatherers, habitat maintenance, and raising young.

Meerkats also babysit the young in the group. Females that have never produced offspring of their own often lactate to feed the alpha pair's young.[15] They also protect the young from threats, often endangering their own lives. On warning of danger, the babysitter takes the young underground to safety and is prepared to defend them if the danger follows.[35
