For those who read sitting on the edge of their chair.

Love Stephen Coonts' novels, particularly the Jake Grafton/Tommy Carmellini series. Also enjoy Brad Meltzer's work. I was also a big fan of the original Tom Clancy books that were actually written by him; the later ones written by other authors, not so much. Some Dale Brown, some Robert Ludlum, some Clive Cussler - these authors seemed to have issues with consistently writing good books in my opinion.

Coonts was good but his last jumped into loony-bin territory.

Clancy was good until his last stuff. The continuation by other authors is of course not up to the originals.

Dale Brown is fairly good although he's suffering from the conservative thought that America is going down the drain due to liberals.

Clive Cussler is good.
