Revolution, Evolution or Revolutionary Evolution?

I suppose it's possible, theoretically, but it goes against our natural, inborn tribalism.

Civilization and social 'evolution' involve suppression of our natural competitiveness and tribalism. It involves breaking down cultural and ethnic barriers and expanding moral consideration to include the "other."

We've managed to make racism and religious intolerance unfashionable. We "celebrate diversity" -- at least on paper, yet we still ecourage symbolic tribal conflict (sports) and Nationalism/Patriotism.
We'll need to work on that.

We'll have to wait until most of society feels up to the neck in the consequences of their actions, it appears.

Decades of trying to convince people of the urgency and still there is so much resistance from people who, notwithstanding being poor, want to save the savage capitalism of their overlords lest the economy and even Christendom go down in flames in the clutches of murderous liberal Communist gay feminazi Muslims.

Evolution is a random process ferchrissake, or, are we God?

Yet we arrive at this again and again. By the time the blowback is upon us, we've forgotten that our actions initiated the cascade.
