Jules Bianchi: F1 driver dies from Suzuka crash injuries
Jules Bianchi, the Formula 1 driver for the Marussia team crashed into a recovery vehicle during 2014 Grand Prix of Japan in Suzuka (which took place during a typhoon). The recovery vehicle was getting Adrian Sutil's Sauber who crashed in heavy rain. The 25 year old Bianchi apparently ignored the double waved yellow flags ahead of the crash site and also over-corrected when he started losing control. Bianchi crashed into the recovery vehicle at high rate of speed and his car went under it, causing severe head injury. He went into a coma and died this morning, 9 months later.
Bianchi showed a lot of promise and it was widely assumed that he would drive for Ferrari in the near future.
