RIP Larry King

Anthony Jeslenik to Larry at the Comedy Central Roast of Trump: "You've been married 8 times. 8! Jesus, man. You've got 99 problems. And bitches are all of them."

I worked swing shift (late afternoon into the night) in a factory in the early eighties and Larry King's all night radio show was a favorite. About the time I got off work he'd start "Open Phone America" and I actually called in one night and got on the air for a few minutes chatting with Larry. On the other hand, I never watched the TV show.

Huge loss for the radio industry. IIRC, Larry was one of those guys who - when he got a new gig - would keep his old job and work twice as hard. He did that radio show you called into for almost 10 years while also hosting his TV show on CNN. And yeah, he faded in his later years with forays into infomercials and a show on RT America, but his legacy remains.

He was also hilarious when he filled in as Craig Ferguson's robot skeleton sidekick.
