Songs with a highly repetitive throughline for the purpose of being trancelike

This is something that I think is pretty cool and if the through line has a bit of wavering the effect can be even stronger. What adds even more is when they throw as much random stuff in as can fit and you can tell they are playing it off the cuff.




Clean orderly music can be great, but this stuff is sometimes needed. It is hard to find it and have it not be overly planned out music at the same time.

There is almost an effect of not noticing the repetitive throughline but noticing the wiggles that happen in it in contrast to the entrainment that you have with the throughline. I can't explain it.

At any rate, anyone else have similar music? Basically a slightly wavering drone with musicians doing a jam over it...

In a less mellow/chilled vein than the one you posted, Hawkwind did a lot of stuff that fits that description.
