The 4th as toilet paper

"As we have noted earlier, one's expectation of privacy in an automobile and of freedom in its operation are significantly different from the traditional expectation of privacy and freedom in one's residence. United States v. Ortiz, 422 U.S. at 422 U. S. 896 n. 2; see Cardwell v. Lewis,417 U. S. 583, 417 U. S. 590-591 (1974) (plurality opinion)."

The United States has not had a right to freedom from unreasonable searches since the Supreme Court enacted the 'good faith' exception. The badged one says they were 'acting in good faith' when they violated the law.

How are document checks close to border known for millions of illegal crossings "unreasonable"?
How are checks for pot intoxication any different than DUI checkpoints on weekend nights around known bar areas? I once was in a DUI checkpoint that was set up just as I passed a night club. The cop asked my ID, saw I was obviously not drunk and waved me through. Others who were invited to pull into the parking lot were not so lucky and I venture a guess that most of them had just left said night club.
