Matt Fuller on Twitter: "It’s not like I thought they’d be consistent, but it really is something to watch a political party say you shouldn’t confirm a Supreme Court Justice nine months before an election now say it’s fine six weeks before an election, as people are actually voting." / Twitter

Then
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter: "Congressional GOP have made one thing extremely clear:
To them, there are no rules.
There are no principles.
There is only power.

They are ruthless, and always have been in my lifetime.

Dems must recognize they cannot be reasoned with at present & better adapt to that reality." / Twitter

AOC got responses like these:

H. Eric Loewe on Twitter: "@AOC MT @sarahkendzior
"GOP wants a one-party state, and DT wants to be the autocrat of that state. The idea that they are incompetent is a myth. They are very competent. They are just not interested in the process of governing. They are interested in ruling." https://t.co/5FqNzqssUb" / Twitter

H. Eric Loewe on Twitter: "@AOC MT @sarahkendzior
"These are kleptocratic empires. They want power, they want money, Putin wants territory and sanctions dropped. If DT joins an alliance of autocrats, it's easier to keep illicit financial deals going without oversight or accountability." https://t.co/lWanahUIJC" / Twitter

Matt's Switch Screenshots on Twitter: "@AOC Dems keep playing by rules and norms that Republicans simply don't. Combine that with what feels like permanent minority rule and it all feels like our democracy is a sham. The electoral college, gerrymandering, and Senate structure all prop up undemocratic minority rule." / Twitter

Eric Richardson on Twitter: "@AOC I dont understand why Dems stayed so civil for so long, unfortunately it might just be too late to reasonably do anything about it, If Trump cheats in this election who can hold him accountable? What are the consequences, who will even bother to investigate?
O' Discordia" / Twitter

Darrin Bell on Twitter: "@AOC Democrats need to wake up to the fact the GOP has been waging a cold civil war since 1994. This is why they cheat constantly and don’t seem to have any shame. “All’s fair in love and war.” Dems need more AOCs and fewer capitulators." / Twitter

Also responses to the effect that it is the Democrats who are the power-hungry party.

But let's see.

Public sees GOP as less willing than Democrats to reach across the aisle | Pew Research Center

Democrats often talk about reaching across the aisle and working with Republicans. Like Joe Biden talking about having a Republican Vice President. But do Republicans every talk about doing that with Democrats?

After being defeated in his run for President in 1960, Richard Nixon ran for Governor of California in 1962, and after he lost there also, he delivered his "last press conference" where he announced to the news media that "you won't have Nixon to kick around anymore."

In it, he said that JFK was OK as a President, but that he ought to keep the "woolly heads" away from him, those who oppose nuclear-bomb tests and who want to admit Communist China to the United Nations.

AOC was born in 1989, during George Bush I's Presidency. But she was 3 years old when Bill Clinton was elected President, so she wasn't far off in what she describes. The right wing unleashed a torrent of abuse at President Clinton and his wife Hillary, calling them left-wing extremists. That Bill Clinton might better be described as a mushy centrist did not seem apparent from what they said about him. There was nothing of what RN said about JFK, that he was OK, but that he ought to keep the left-wing extremists away from him.

That's what they said about Senator Harry Reid and Rep Nancy Pelosi, that those two were left-wing extremists. Also about Barack Obama and his wife Michelle. Also about Hillary. They are now saying that about AOC herself, but she refuses to give in and whine that she wants to take the high road rather than the low road, as Michelle Obama does. She has great comebacks to her online antagonists.
