The Republicans and water policy

The Conservative movement has been actively signalling that waste of natural resources is a good thing for some time now. Often they cite their bible in the effort, where God gives man domain over all the animals and so on. It's just another part of their "counter-culture". This is the same culture that brought us fracking, drilling for oil and other natural resources without restriction, allowing pollution to be dumped in rivers with abandon, and "rolling coal" which I'm sure by now most liberals are familiar with as one of the dumbest conservative trends since truck nuts.

It's another reason they aren't qualified to govern. Their policy is based on making liberals angry, rather the the good that can come about from the policy.

As far as water goes there are capitalists very upset that they can't get a piece of the action.

They are upset that government entities are dealing with water and not private individual dictators.

The way you get rid of the government controlling things is through deliberate neglect.

Like the severe neglect of Social Security and Medicare by Republicans. They have absolutely no desire to make these programs effective and reasonably secure.

You neglect water resources deliberately then cry about how badly government handles water resources and scream for it to be privatized.

But right now there are capitalists making so much off war and overseas violence that their orgy of wealth and continual war is their first priority.

The water stuff is small potatoes and not that pressing.
