A tweet drafted by President Donald Trump ― but never posted ― had the potential to lead to war with North Korea, veteran journalist Bob Woodward said on Sunday.

“He drafts a tweet saying ‘We are going to pull out dependents from South Korea ... Family members of the 28,000 people there,’” Woodward said on CBS “Sunday Morning” as he promoted his upcoming book, Fear: Trump in the White House.

But a backchannel message from North Korea said bringing family members home would be considered a sign of an impending U.S. attack.

“At that moment there was a sense of profound alarm in the Pentagon leadership that, ‘My God, one tweet and we have reliable information that the North Koreans are going to read this as an attack is imminent,’” Woodward said.

What the heck is a "drafted Tweet"?

My question too.
And how did NK know about it? Something about that statement sounds fishy.

It's possible that NK didn't know anything about the tweet, but that this sort of topic had been mentioned before in previous interactions with the Rogue state. Like a message from NK to the US reading something like:

Imaginary letter from NK to US said:
Dear Imperialist Pigs, This is the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's undersecretary of International Threats and Extortion writing to inform you that if any of the following situations are observed to occur, we will be raining a million tons of explosive payload onto our Southern neighbor without hesitation.

1. US or ROK forces launch a provocative offensive onto our sovereign soil.
2. US or ROK forces are seen preparing for an immediate assault on our sovereign soil.
a. This includes pulling family members out of South Korea.
3. US or ROK attempt to deploy Justin Beiber within 200 km of our sovereign soil.
b. Seriously, keep that filthy Canadian away from us.
4. Do you think you could convince Dennis Rodman to get some more weird body modifications? We really like his crazy look.

Sincerely, Your favorite dictator's, ahem... world leader's office of international threats.
