The bill was brought up in the Senate on August 1st by Rob Portman. It appears as if the bill was read twice but so far no action has been taken and no one else has spoken up about the bill. Do you know if this bill has already died in Congress? I know that a lot of wacky bills never make it very far and are never brought up for a vote. I'm wondering if this might be one of those bills. Do you have any additional helpful information about this bill? It doesn't look like it has much chance of getting very far, unless there is something I missed or there is some other information that isn't in your link.
