A couple of days ago, 18 year old Carnell Snell was shot after fleeing form police. As typical, he is described as a good kid, and destructive protests get started before the facts are known. There were claims that he had his "hands up" (does that remind you of anybody?)

Relatives described Snell, known to his family as CJ, as a respectful young man who loved skateboarding and cared deeply for his family.
Dozens of protesters gathered at the scene of Snell’s death near the intersection of 107th Street and Western Avenue on Saturday night, interrupting a police news conference and writing Snell’s name in the street in chalk.
Another group of protesters marched to Mayor Eric Garcetti’s home in Hancock Park later Saturday evening. Photos posted by a KCBS reporter Sunday show eggs that had apparently been thrown at the residence. A crew from the city arrived later to clean up. Another protest was planned for Sunday.

His teacher, Tiffany Hobbes, got into the fray.
And so-called 'black media' is calling it a murder, inflaming hostilities, even though police said they recovered a gun.

And lo and behold, the video released today shows police were right - he was armed.

So the narrative collasped quickly this time. That doesn't prevent #BLM from continuing to protest.

"Carnell Snell was his name,” Khan-Cullors told the peaceful crowd that assembled outside the 11 a.m. conference. “He was an 18-year-old child. He was somebody's baby, and somebody in your department killed him, shot him in the back five times. We're here because we are tired, but we're not afraid.”

No Patrisse, an 18 year old is not a child. And it is highly questionable he was shot in the back. You are taking the family narrative as factual without any corroborating evidence, and remember they also said he was unarmed.

Abdullah, who serves as an organizer with Black Lives Matter, is also the Professor and Chair of Pan-African Studies at California State University. She argued that the conference amounted to “double assassination—first killing the body of Carnell Snell, and then assassinating his character.”
“We know that LAPD continues to kill our people and then justifies the killings with whatever they think makes those murders justifiable,” Abdullah said. “That's why we were there."

How can somebody that incredibly stupid be a professor (much less chair)? Oh yeah, that's "Pan-African Studies" and only qualification one needs is radical left-wing politics and dark skin color.
When a police shooting is justified, explaining why it is justified is exactly what needs to happen. It is not "double assassination".
