Trump establishes 'Office of the Former President' in Florida | TheHill

"The Office of the Former President" will manage Trump's correspondence, public statements, appearance and official activities, according to a press release from the office.

"President Trump will always and forever be a champion for the American People," the release said.

It's his cynical way of asserting that because Joe Biden was justified in creating an "Office of the President Elect", he is therefore also justified in creating the "Office of the Former President". And that this serves as evidence that he is no longer the President and so cannot be impeached under the constitution. But “Office of the President Elect” is not an official government agency. It might sound like it is but it's not. President-elect is just a conventional way to refer to the incoming President.
