Porn users will have to prove their age before they can access images online from April under a new law. Websites which harbour content which is more than one-third pornographic will be obliged to verify the age of UK visitors under the new law. One of the suggested methods to verify the age of viewers would require those trying to access porn to input bank card details to all pornographic websites they visit.

They want to force people to give bank card details to anybody who has porn to show? This has got to be a joke.

It will probably end up being some toothless legislation where you have to click "I am over 18" on a little popup before you view the porn, which would be nothing new, right?

So, if i have one four-hour quadruple-X compilation of interracial interspecies amputee open balcony come shots and 23 hours of episodes of The Andy Griffith Show, i don't gotta....

I AM against curtailing pornography to young people. People should have access to porn, ESPECIALLY when they are recommended to abstain from sex.

This is some gaslighting bullshit. Pretty sure there's a whole thread somewhere on page 2 or 3, where there is a perfectly servicible and not-too-expired discussion available where I call out the inappropriate use of age as a bad proxy for various elements of life. The fact that the government ment measures age and not any actual measures of capability or real merit in making decisions, which would the decision to allow access to porn.

I think minors should be restricted from pornography. If you don't, it will give them strange ideas of how fast a plumber will show up after you call one.
