So, Game of Thrones opened as a remarkably incredible show on HBO. The first several seasons, based mostly on the novels, were incredible in content and production. Then they ran out of written material by the author who completely gave up or lost the knack, and HBO went commando with the plot. And it went from prized to suffering with flaws to convoluted / lazy / nonsensical. The show finalized in perhaps some of the worst possible ways. The show went from awesome to 1940's/50's theater serial.
That is the good news.
The bad news is HBO is ordering up a new The House of Dragons Game of Thrones series, well at least Season One. This makes us ask, well, if they couldn't handle the last few seasons of Game of Thrones properly, how in the heck would they manage a prequel? Yes, sure, we all watched Game of Thrones through to the end, even the people that said they didn't. But short of widespread praise, I have no interest or trust in a new prequel by HBO (not Martin).
