This is a non-draft marked, but unsigned letter to the Ministry of Defense.

It seemed to take a little bit for the military to catch up with the release.

That letter is a draft, it was a mistake, it was unsigned, it should not have been released…poorly worded, implies withdrawal, that is not what’s happening.

Poorly worded?! The wording was quite fine. The letter may have been the wrong one though.

The other issue here is that this letter was delivered (unsigned?) to the Iraqi Ministry of Defense. I bet they are confused as the US Military about what to make of it.

Oh and a PS, just to make it clear, while this certainly looks like satire, ie representing an absurd proposition that the US is sending unchecked documents regarding substantial military position movements in Iraq... to the Ministry of Defense for Iraq... confirm said document exists... and then realize what it actually says... and disavow that what it says is accurate, this isn't satire.

It should be satire. Our government shouldn't be in such a position to have done this. That their military plans regarding mobilization should be, while not etched is stone, at least having a solid consensus, and the documents regarding such things would be double checked, before being sent over... unsigned... not marked as draft.

...but they did.
