Violent female targeting robbers and rapists in Seattle - why were they out on the street?

Your title makes it sound as if there is a violent female who is targeting robbers and rapists in Seattle.

One part of the case is a bit weird too.
article said:
Her boyfriend told police at about 2:30 a.m., they realized she was not with them and tried to contact her with no success.
The victim told police she remembers pulling herself along a railing in an alley, when two men approached her and raped her. She added that a homeless man then found her and helped her find her apartment. Her wallet was missing after the incident. She was later taken to Harborview Medical Center for a sexual assault exam.
They realized she was not with them? How long was she gone without them noticing? Why did she leave? What was she doing in an alley and why was she :pulling herself along a railing"?

Why does it matter? She was probably pulling herself along because she was drunk.

Jesus, Derec...

I defend the majority of what you say, but why focus on this point? Do you think they seduced her?

These guys are predators and need to be taken out of society for a reasonable amount of time (10+ years).

It matters because the female rape victim is always to blame. Clearly if she was drunk, she must of consented and is now lying about it because of her regrets.

No, I do not think that. I was just wondering about the details which weren't very clear from the article. I did not mean to defend the perps and the case looks open and shut.

Sure. They are repeat offenders too.

Might have had her drink spiked.

At the risk of being a hypocrite considering how often I derail, but fuck this derail about why this woman was outside of the bar and get back to why these two men were on the street for so long.

Oh, that's your point. I was fixated on the first part of the title, expecting her to go berserk and stalk them to get even.

They are on the street and will be on the street because there is not enough room at the inn (prison) because we do not rehabilitate, we incarcerate. So what else do we expect felons to do upon release but to continue to be felons and come back to jail but there are a new crop of felons coming online we have to make room for. Rack and stack them as best you can but at some point the room is literally full. No more room for the racks. So you have to cycle them. Haven't you heard this all before?

Until such time as vengeful voters can be convinced it is in their economic best interest to rehabilitate rather than build more prisons, this is the way it's going to be. Could be quite some time. Consider, your average voter looks upon your average prisoner and wonders: Do I want my tax dollars spent on making this person's life miserable for what he did or do I want them spent on rehabilitating him, possibly bringing him up to my socioeconomic level? Could be quite some time.

Yeah, it needed a hyphen between female and targeting.

So where's the evidence for all these infamous voters who want to keep lowlifes from becoming productive citizens so we can keep somebody below us? The problem with rehabilitation isn't that we aren't willing to spend money to make criminals better people; the problem is we don't know how to do it. We don't believe giving money to civil servants who say they'll use it to make criminals become better people will actually cause criminals to become better people; and inviting voters to throw good money after bad isn't calculated to arouse our enthusiasm. First show us an approach to rehabilitation that looks like it would actually work; then hit us up for money.
