Gah thank god someone else is bothered enough to mention it. I am almost to the point that I can't listen to this podcast any more; this HAS to be an affectation rather than a natural speaking voice. The ironic thing is that they have mentioned several times how hard it is to tell the two hosts' voices apart, but once you pick up on the fry it's easy: one voice is a pleasant female voice and one makes me want to shred my eardrums with a corkscrew.
