Wow....do you think this is real, or a $1M snow-job? I hope the former, and they're going after bishops next.

I expect some of them would enjoy being "probed"....

“The Better Church Governance Group,” an organization that includes six former U.S. cardinals on its Board of Trustees and is funded by a number of wealthy Catholics, announced last night that it would spend more than a million dollars over the next year to investigate every current member of the College of Cardinals — the people who elect popes — in an effort to shine a light on anyone credibly accused of child sexual abuse or covering up that abuse.

Bill Donohue told me this is a misconception. In the U.S., cardinals are probed by the deacons with the best DSL.

Just sounds like another PR stunt. Having an investigation isn't "doing" anything. But lots of people will be happy to hear how they're "doing" nothing because it will appear to these stods that something is being done. Good PR actually.
