Shireen Abu Akleh - I'll quote the Wikipedia article on her, since that seems to be the best summary of what happened.
(April 3, 1971 – May 11, 2022) was a Palestinian-American journalist who worked as a reporter for the Arabic-language channel Al Jazeera for 25 years, and was one of the most prominent names across the Middle East for her decades of reporting in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories.

Over the course of her career, she reported on numerous major events in Palestinian history, while also analyzing Israeli politics; her television reporting and distinct sign-offs were well-known, and as a leading journalist in the Arab world, she inspired many other Palestinians and Arabs, particularly women, to pursue careers in journalism.[4][5]

On May 11, 2022, while wearing a blue vest with "PRESS" written on it, she was shot and killed while covering a raid by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank.[3][6] Al Jazeera, an Agence France-Presse photojournalist, and the Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that the IDF killed her. Initially, Israel suggested a Palestinian might have killed her, but on May 13 the IDF said that a probe found that it was possible she had been killed either by IDF fire,[7] or by Palestinian fire.[8][9] Separate investigations conducted successively by the Associated Press, Bellingcat, CNN, The New York Times, and The Washington Post all independently concluded that fire from an IDF unit was the most likely cause of Akleh's death,[10] CNN suggesting the death was the result of an IDF targeted killing.[11] On June 24, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said it had concluded Abu Akleh was killed by a bullet fired by the IDF. The Palestinian Authority (PA) investigation had reached the same conclusion, claiming she was shot deliberately while trying to flee.[12] The US State Department subsequently announced on July 4 that tests by independent ballistics experts under U.S. oversight were unable to determine the gun it was fired from but that US officials have concluded based on a review of previous investigations that gunfire from Israeli positions most likely killed Abu Akleh and that there was "no reason to believe" her shooting was intentional. Axios subsequently reported that on 6 July Secretary of State Antony Blinken told new Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid that the Biden administration requests that Israel holds someone accountable for the killing.[13]

The manner of her death and the subsequent violent disruption at her funeral, when the Israeli Police officers armed with batons attacked pallbearers who were carrying her coffin, drew widespread international condemnation of Israel.[14] Her funeral was attended by tens of thousands of Palestinians and was believed to be the largest Palestinian funeral in Jerusalem in over twenty years.[15][16]
However, this account may not satisfy the sort of hard-line defender of Israel would would say that "the IDF did not murder SAA, but she deserved to be murdered."

The Killing of Shireen Abu Akleh: Tracing a Bullet to an Israeli Convoy - The New York Times - "A New York Times investigation found that the bullet that killed a Palestinian-American journalist was fired from the approximate position of an Israeli military vehicle."
The journalists thought they were safe.

Several blocks away, a gunfight between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian men had just stopped. Hoping to interview witnesses, the group of reporters headed down the street toward an Israeli military convoy. Among them was Shireen Abu Akleh, a veteran Palestinian-American television correspondent.

Suddenly, six bullets flew toward them, and they ran for cover. Ms. Abu Akleh crouched next to a carob tree.

Seven more shots rang out.

“Is anyone injured?” a bystander, Sleem Awad, yelled, before seeing Ms. Abu Akleh slumped facedown on the ground. “Shireen! Shireen!” he shouted, having recognized the well-known journalist. “Oh man, Shireen!”
Who did it?
Palestinian officials said Ms. Abu Akleh was intentionally killed early on May 11 in the West Bank city of Jenin by an Israeli soldier. Israeli officials said a soldier might have shot her by mistake but also suggested that she might have been killed by a Palestinian gunman. The Israeli Army’s preliminary investigation concluded that it was “not possible to unequivocally determine the source of the gunfire.”

A monthlong investigation by The New York Times found that the bullet that killed Ms. Abu Akleh was fired from the approximate location of the Israeli military convoy, most likely by a soldier from an elite unit.

The evidence reviewed by The Times showed that there were no armed Palestinians near her when she was shot. It contradicted Israeli claims that, if a soldier had mistakenly killed her, it was because he had been shooting at a Palestinian gunman.

The Times investigation also showed that 16 shots were fired from the location of the Israeli convoy, as opposed to Israeli claims that the soldier had fired five bullets in the journalists’ direction. The Times found no evidence that the person who fired recognized Ms. Abu Akleh and targeted her personally. The Times was unable to determine whether the shooter saw that she and her colleagues were wearing protective vests emblazoned with the word Press.
Then a detailed timeline of the incident.

Some Congresspeople had a press conference on this killing:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter: "The Abu Akleh family deserves accountability. CNN, NYT, etc found Shireen was shot by an Israeli sniper while wearing a press vest. Yet, the U.S. has done nothing. We didn’t even conduct a thorough investigation in this murder of an American reporter. President Biden must act. (vid link)" / Twitter

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib on Twitter: "Israel is an apartheid state, engaged in racist oppression against Palestinians. @statedept has failed to find the truth. Shireen & her family deserve justice. When Americans are killed abroad our government investigates. But when the murderers wear Israeli uniforms? Silence. (vid link)" / Twitter

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib on Twitter: "Thank you @theIMEU, @jvplive, @theCCR and @CPJMENA for their incredible supporting Shireen's family, and @Ilhan @RepPressley @RepAOC @RepAndreCarson @BettyMcCollum04 @RepMarieNewman for joining them today in solidarity with their fight for justice. We will never quit." / Twitter

Rep. Ilhan Omar on Twitter: "Shireen Abu Akleh should be alive.
Proud to join her family and my colleagues in the call for an independent U.S. investigation into her murder.
We must keep speaking out until we get justice and accountability. #JusticeforShireen (pic link)" / Twitter

PALESTINE ONLINE 🇵🇸 on Twitter: "US representative Ilhan Omar: "We won’t stop fighting for justice and accountability for the family of Shireen Abu Akleh." (vid link)" / Twitter

Rashida Tlaib on Twitter: "When will the world and those who stand by Apartheid Israel that continues to murder, torture and commit war crimes finally say: "Enough"?
Shireen Abu Akleh was murdered by a government that receives unconditional funding by our country with zero accountability." / Twitter

PALESTINE ONLINE 🇵🇸 on Twitter: "US congresswoman Rashida Tlaib held a moment of silence for Al Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, who was shot dead by Israeli occupation forces earlier today in Jenin.
#ShireenAbuAkleh (vid link)" / Twitter

Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib on Twitter: "Exactly 100 days since American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was assassinated by an Israeli sniper, the Israeli apartheid govt shut down seven human rights orgs at the core of fighting for the lives & freedoms of millions of Palestinians. My statement and call for accountability: (pic link)" / Twitter

PALESTINE ONLINE 🇵🇸 on Twitter: "During a press conference at the Capitol, ⁦..." / Twitter
During a press conference at the Capitol, ⁦US congresswoman Rashida Tlaib and other members of the congress demanded a US investigation into the murder of Shireen Abu Akleh. Tlaib also demanded an investigation into the deaths of Omar Asad, and Rachel Corrie, all US citizens killed by the Israeli forces, saying: “I knew 20 years ago when there was no justice for Rachel Corrie that the Israeli govt would have impunity.”

I found this response
Bryant Jordan on Twitter: "@RepRashida @corbett_jessica It's shameful but not surprising that the US will not hold Israel accountable for the killing Shireen Abu Akleh. The US never even investigated Israel’s attack on the USS Liberty in 1967, which killed 34 and wounded more than 170." / Twitter

USS Liberty incident - USS Liberty Veterans Association - Fifty Years Later, NSA Keeps Details of Israel’s USS Liberty Attack Secret
The USS Liberty was a US spy ship that was attacked by Israel during its Six-Day War with its Arab neighbors.

On the Killing of Shireen Abu Akleh - United States Department of State
After an extremely detailed forensic analysis, independent, third-party examiners, as part of a process overseen by the U.S. Security Coordinator (USSC), could not reach a definitive conclusion regarding the origin of the bullet that killed Palestinian-American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. Ballistic experts determined the bullet was badly damaged, which prevented a clear conclusion.

In addition to the forensic and ballistic analysis, the USSC was granted full access to both Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Palestinian Authority (PA) investigations over the last several weeks. By summarizing both investigations, the USSC concluded that gunfire from IDF positions was likely responsible for the death of Shireen Abu Akleh. The USSC found no reason to believe that this was intentional but rather the result of tragic circumstances during an IDF-led military operation against factions of Palestinian Islamic Jihad on May 11, 2022, in Jenin, which followed a series of terrorist attacks in Israel

But Rashida Tlaib doesn't find that very convincing.
V PALESTINE 🇵🇸 on Twitter: "US Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib slammed the State Department’s examination of the bullet that killed Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, describing it as a failure sends a clear message to the world that apartheid Israel has the license to kill with impunity. Thee has been soft criticism by presidents but we gen rally look the other way.

1. Palestinians have been painted as terrorists against Israel not freedom fighters resisting siezure of land.
2. Israel is a stable ally in the region
3. Jews have political power here and politicians do not want to be seen as anti Jewish in any way. Campaign money. There is a powerful Jewish PAC underwritten by Israel.
4. Israel oppose Iran our enemy.
5. The situation is complicated by Iran funding a lathe scale terrorist force against Israel. Lebanon is ab armed camp, the Lebanese border is militarized by militia aka terrorists funded by Iran. They are terrorists who's sole purpose is to terroize Israel.
6. It is Iranian state policy to eradicate Israel and always has been.

Israel is in a proxy war with Iran, there is no dispute about that. For Israel from their side it is existential.

It is a complicated mess that goes back to the pre Israel situation of Jews in Palestine followed by the Holocaust.

A reporter getting shot to me is collateral casualties. I do not see any simple black and white moral dichotomy.

Cortez making an issue to me is political grandstanding. She likely has no understanding of the history that led to today. A simpistic political response.

This one again? It's quite clear she was killed by Palestinian fire. All their fancy audio evidence actually shows that it couldn't have been Israel--the maximum range they got was less than the range to the Israeli troops. There's also the fact that the Palestinians wouldn't make the evidence available--they do that when they know it won't support their position.

If you go into a conflict zone where you know you can be injured, killed, tortured, kidnapped or jailed without reason you take repository for consequences.

I know Griner's friends and family are stressed over her being jailed in Russia, but I have no synoathy for her. It is well known Americans in Russia are at risk for becoming p[political pawns.

Al Jazeera and the New York Times referred to Final Conclusions from the Investigation into the Shooting Incident which Resulted in the Death of Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh
Following the completion of a series of investigations carried out by a dedicated task force, it appears that it is not possible to unequivocally determine the source of the gunfire which hit Ms. Abu Akleh. However, there is a high possibility that Ms. Abu Akleh was accidentally hit by IDF gunfire that was fired toward suspects identified as armed Palestinian gunmen, during an exchange of fire in which life-risking, widespread and indiscriminate shots were fired toward IDF soldiers. Additionally, it is important to emphasize and clarify that throughout the entire incident, IDF gunfire was fired with the intent of neutralizing the terrorists who shot at IDF soldiers, also from the area in which Ms. Shireen Abu Akleh was present. Another possibility which remains relevant is that Ms. Abu Akleh was hit by bullets fired by armed Palestinian gunmen

Where did you get this information? It is completely different from what the IDF, the U.S. State Dept., and several news outlets such as the BBC, Reuters, and the New York Times have reported.

No surprise. Large news organizations slant heavily against Israel--there are an awful lot more Muslims than Jews in the world, it's a simple matter of eyeballs.

Where did you get your information?

Also, you do realize that you are saying the IDF is wrong, right? That whatever on-scene investigating it did was less thorough than what some random blogger accomplished from the comfort of his home, which is why the blogger knows Akleh was too far away to have been shot by an Israeli soldier but the IDF doesn't ?
