I try to be tolerant of beliefs, but fucking region. We can do without it. Israeli Jews are turning out to be as intolerant, extreme, and abusive as any other religion.

I wish we wiould get off of oil nd get out of the region. Let them all slaughter each other until they get sick of it or run out of people.

Jordan’s king says he is prepared for conflict should the status of Jerusalem’s holy sites change as Israel prepares to swear in what is likely to be the most right-wing government in its history.

King Abdullah II told CNN’s Becky Anderson in an exclusive interview this month that there is “concern” in his country about those in Israel trying to push for changes to his custodianship of the Muslim and Christian holy sites in Israeli-occupied East Jerusalem, warning that he has “red lines.”

“If people want to get into a conflict with us, we’re quite prepared,” he said. “I always like to believe that, let’s look at the glass half full, but we have certain red lines… And if people want to push those red lines, then we will deal with that.”

Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu’s incoming government is expected to be the most right-wing in Israel’s history and it includes controversial figures who were once considered to be on the extreme fringe of Israeli politics. This has caused concerns about the potential for an escalation in Israeli-Palestinian violence and for the future of Israel’s relations with its Arab neighbors and Western allies.

This year was already the deadliest for Palestinians and Israelis in nearly two decades, raising the specter of a new Palestinian uprising against Israel.

“We have to be concerned about a next intifada (uprising),” said the king. “And if that happens, that’s a complete breakdown of law and order and one that neither the Israelis nor the Palestinians will benefit from. I think there is a lot of concern from all of us in the region, including those in Israel that are on our side on this issue, to make sure that doesn’t happen.”

Israel captured East Jerusalem from Jordan in the 1967 war but signed a peace treaty with it in 1994 under which it formally recognized Amman’s special role at the city’s holy sites. But the two have since had an uneasy relationship, with Jordan regularly accusing Israel of violating the agreement that gave it control of the sites and barred non-Muslims from praying there.

Huh? You're blaming Israel for Jordan threatening war?

Note what he's complaining about--the possibility that Jews might pray at "Muslim" holy sites. Huh? That only makes sense if they are also Jewish holy sites. Why should Jews be forbidden to pray at Jewish holy sites?? Remember, all three religions share the same deity, it is quite reasonable for a site to be holy to more than one of them.

Wouldn’t it be great if the god could talk to its people and unequivocally make it clear that the former “holy sites” are now anathema,

And create three new islands, in the center of the atlantic ocean, clearly designated by the god for separate pilgrimages?

And declare that all prayers in any other place must be doneprivately in a person’s own closet or they will be turned to a pillar of salt.

I mean, assuming based on current evidence that the god is not capable of establishing peace.

There's not going to be a "next intifada". Israel has isolated itself from Palestinians since the last two and is not as vulnerable to a popular uprising because the populii are separated. If there is an uprising, it'll be just Palestinians grumbling among themselves and shaking their fists. Occasionally getting shot at or beaten/arrested. The zionist settlers will be safe and sound behind their walled compounds.

Rockets from Gaza are another issue. But Israel seems to have regular little bouts with Hamas over there anyway. I don't see how Hamas could escalate that front any more than it already does.

Maybe another war in the North with Hezbollah? Seems unlikely. And even more unlikely that Jordan would get involved.

I prefer that God does at least one thing God claims will be done in revelations. Come take them away to heaven and leave the rest of us reasonable folk behind. It's gonna be a shit show up there.

Yup. Can you imagine what will happen when Christians and Jews and Muslims find out they're all there.
