Are we now in full blown fascist totalitarianism?

The point is that Trump is a shitty negotiator
Don't really care one way or the other.
Then why did you comment on a post that was entirely on that one subject? Go slap the person who taught you English.
I was not commenting on his shittiness. I was commenting on your shittiness.
My name isn't Zipperhead. You commented on HIS post that was entirely about how shitty Trump is as a negotiator. But you didn't understand because your reading comprehension is so fucking shitty.

Trump isn't asking for ANY concessions from Russia
Well, he can't be asking anything, becasue US/EU/NATO lost.
Wrong. Peace deals often involve bargaining and Ukraine isn't anywhere near the point of needing to propose an unconditional surrender.
Russia is not that interested in any deals and bargaining at the moment. But we will look at anything you offer.
It's a polite thing to do. And if the deal is great than we might take it. So far, EU offers unconditional surrender to Russia. Trump is better but not great.

No, my reading comprehension is fine.

... Which is why you totally misunderstood a comment about Trump's shitty negotiation skills and thought it was an argument that Russia should surrender. .... Sure dude. This isn't even what I'm talking about when I tell you live in a land of delusion. But it certainly could be.

unconditional surrender
English Quiz: What do you think this term means?
It means what it says.
Go home to your internationally recognized borders and mind your own business is not an unconditional surrender.
Unconditional surrender would be more along the lines of, were going to occupy your country, set up a government of our liking, post our military within, and all for an indeterminate length of time and you'll have nothing to say about it. Who is doing such a thing?

The sad thing is that if there were a real President in the White House (instead of a Putin tool like Trump) it would be a simple matter for the US to call Vlad's bluff. Russia's economy pales in comparison to a mid-level US state like...oh...Delaware. Militarily, it's not even close. Ukraine has held off Russia for 3 years using the equivalent of US hand-me-downs. Ukraine doesn't even have a navy to speak of, yet they've "promoted to submarine" some of the best ships in Russia's pathetic little fleet. Hell, Russia hasn't even achieved air superiority over Ukraine in the last 3 years. The US did it in Iraq (which allegedly had the 4th largest military in the world) in about 3 days in 1990. Then did it again in 2003. Push comes to shove, Putin wouldn't be able to fly a kite over Ukraine if the US stepped in and meant it.

Well, then you need to leave North American continent.

Not this shit again.
The fact is, the nazi piece of shit Biden did everything he could and failed.
And he is a nazi piece of shit. I recently stumbled upon an old video of him from 1997 where he talked the same trash about Russia he talked about Ukraine during his VPOTUS times.
What a nasty motherfucker.

Knowledgeable military people say that even in a conventional direct conflict US would now lose badly in Ukraine. Of course conventional is not possible so it's theoretical.

Well, we better understand now what we didn't understand those hundreds of years ago, that all races and cultures are deserving of respect, that none should be held on high above another. We are far from perfect but better and more accepting than most who hide behind terms like "cultural homogeneity" and worse advocate for the complete removal of another culture and its history or worse still, the extermination of its people.

For everyone else who thinks that Trump is Hitler.

What about the negotiations between Putin and Ukraine? Would you say Trump is just agreeing with Putin or is he trying to keep his word getting out of war? Maybe even trying to save on military dollars? Trump seems to be the first person in history being accused of being both Neville Chamberlain AND Hitler at the same time. How do you reconcile this?

What about Trump's comments about Canada, Greenland, Panama, or a possible 3rd term? Do you consider that to be Trump the Hitler dictator or Trump the troll? These are more gray area's IMO but Im pretty sure most will think otherwise.

This kinda feels like a derail, but I can't be sure. If we're talking about fascism, it doesn't seem quite on-target to switch it up to imperialism. I don't know. I guess I could be wrong. It seemed like the majority of the discussion was around domestic policy, meaning Trump's agenda and removal of civil rights and due process.

So far as the question about trolling or authentic speech, I think that is a false dichotomy. There's an expression called kidding on the square -- to joke but really mean it. To test the idea of whether or not Trump is trolling or truthful (or both), imagine this:
  • 1. Trump makes a joke/serious statement about his possible third term.
  • 2. 80% of the public support him.
  • 3. Would he actually then NOT go for a third term? He definitely would!

Contrast this with some other potential joke to see if it is kidding on the square or not. For example, remember when he went down on the microphone in public in front of innocent children and so-called Family Values crowds? Now imagine that Mike Pence takes him seriously and when they're alone, Mike Pence whips it out. Is Trump going to go down on Mike Pence? No, he's not.

So that's how you can tell the difference!
