Trump targets Atheists as domestic terrorists

I tried to post this much earlier but the site wasn't working. I'm not a frightened little scardy cat. 🙀 And, my evangelical friendly acquaintances even like me and they've given up trying to save me.

I’m not against Christianity. I’m against fake Christians.

I'm not against Christianity or Christians so long as they resist the temptation to use the Government to force their religious notions onto everyone. I have zero patience for theocrats or wannabe theorcrats. There are far too many wannabe theocrats in the US.

Though I'd fight them in court and not in the streets.
I am against Christianity in the sense I don't believe people need to be saved for nonbelief, and I don't believe humans are inherently sinful.

(Accidentally put another quote in the post, dang it).

I agree. What I meant is that I'm not against freedom of religion, as long as it's kept separate from government. I spoke to a close Christian friend of mine on the phone for over an hour this morning. She is a moderate Black Christian who isn't afraid of Trump but like me, believes he is extremely mentally ill and is dangerous for the country. We discussed how the white Christian Nationalist extremists want to ruin religious freedom and create a crazy Christian theocracy in the US. She and I have lots in common and have been friends for well over 10 years. I donated food to her church's food pantry a few weeks ago because I like helping the poor and I trust that Christians like her will put such donations to good use.

I would consider myself anti Christian. I think Christianity and freedom are incompatible. I think the only way to maintain the faith is to use repressive tactics and that may be what we are experiencing right now. People, especially younger people, are abandoning their faith and we are witnessing a wounded animal striking out. That’s fundamentally what we are witnessing in this memo.

That’s not to say all Christian’s are evil. Just that to survive it needs the state to enforce its belief.

Which of course is how it started its path to power, with the Emperor Constantine giving it official state status.
