The simple truth is that one can reasonably believe that the existence of Israel as a nation is threatened and still decry the many many many casualties among the Palestinian people at the hands of Israel. Even if you believe that Hamas could gave stopped this by releasing the hostages.

Of course we don't like it--but we recognize that it's Iran and Hamas who wanted the civilian casualties. And we recognize that it's not possible to stop human shield tactics.

Similarly, one can believe that Iran should not have the capacity to make nuclear weapons and simultaneously believe that Trump’s incursion is uncalled for, despicable, wrong headed, and extremely ineffective and unlikely to achieve any objective except making billions of dollars for Trump's military complex donors. Oh, and killing lots of little school girls.

The problem with Iran is everyone saying there is a problem, nobody wanted to actually bell the cat. And then our idiot king decided to go in without a plan.
