If the pathetic wimpering on this site is any indication of the national sentiment, I'd say yes.
If the people who support affirmative action now had a principled response, the answer should be 'yes'.
But of course, the above results don't prove discrimination against men; hell, they don't rule out continuing discrimination against women. The study, as far as I can tell, doesn't attempt to control for things like education level (education level is one of the variables used to explain the difference), so it isn't an apples to apples comparison.
Now, if the men aren't being discriminated against, what's the problem that women are earning more? Nothing. There's no problem that requires a solution.

Funny how when men are earning more it's a huge problem, but when women are earning more it's just fine.
Kind of like in college. Women are 60% of college students due to affirmative action, female only scholarship/grants etc., but feminists still insist females are "oppressed" because there are still some majors where men are the majority. And also because not all men accused of "rape" are expelled immediately.

What an asshole. Women were getting paid less, about 90 cents to the dollar once all things were considered and now that it appears women may be getting more, the asshole asks whether we can stop whining. As if women being paid less wasn't something worth complaining about.

Is men getting paid less (or for example getting a lesser chance at college because of affirmative action and gender-based scholarships which very heavily skew female)) worth complaining about? Or are people that do going to get insulted and be told to "men up" like it happens with all other forms of gender-based injustice and female privilege in our society?

Gendered scholarships are blatant sex discrimination, but women being 60% of college students is not an issue in and of itself. What's the issue is if the college used sexist admissions criteria. Women earn higher grades in high school, but men earn higher SAT scores. Both achievement and aptitude scores are relevant for college admission. Gender (and other factors, like race) ought not to be.

The whining about women's wages won't stop until old, married mothers are earning as much as old, married fathers.
Many of the selective pressures that create the pay gap don't have any effect on young, single women. For example, they are less likely to want flexible working arrangements in order to raise children while working. Therefore the pay of young, single women is likely to be dismissed as irrelevant.

Men have been discriminated against for the last 40 years.
I had already done so in other threads. To sum up there is affirmative action in admissions and there are far more female only scholarships and grants than male only ones. Furthermore, colleges have general resources and female only resources, in effect giving females much more resources than men.

You have not provided any actual evidence other than your biased opinions about the effects of affirmative action in admissions to colleges and universities for women or the scholarships.
This unsubstantiated claim literally has no meaning because "much more" is undefined. Furthermore, you presume such a division (assuming there such resources as "female only") is more than an accounting gimmick (i.e. giving titles to slices of the pie without changing the actual size of the slices).
