Needs Alex Jones and Ted Nugent and then EPIC!

Ted Cruz got even more specific. “How about a debate moderated by Sean Hannity and Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh?” Cruz suggested in an interview with Hannity. “Now, that would be a debate.”

“I’m in,” Hannity replied. “And I think I can speak for the other two—they’re in as well. I do agree with you because these questions are downright hostile. And I believe this was a horrible night for the news media and in many instances tonight a disgrace to the profession of journalism.”

I’m in, too! I think the world should get a clear look at the unvarnished spectacle of a Republican Party that is now run by the “conservative entertainment complex,” in the words of George W. Bush adviser David Frum.

Let the candidates stay within their wingnut bubble–the same bubble that let them believe Mitt Romney was cruising to victory in 2012–and compete over who can be the most vicious to undocumented immigrants, the cruelest to women seeking abortions, and the kindest to the top one percent.

Well ... why don't they?

If everybody agrees with the idea, why is it not already set up for next Thursday?

Preach it from the mountain, Sean!

Journalism is supposed to be about putting conservative politicians in the best possible light, and savaging the liberals. Plus think of the ratings this would bring in! Ratings are the standard by which journalism should be judged. If you beat CNN in key demos on a consistent basis, your journalistic integrity is demonstrably better.

Having seen "the best" CNBC could find for its dumpster fire, those three would be a vast improvement. However, I would also suggest consideration of Hugh Hewitt, Laura Ingraham, Ann Coulter, and Mark Steyn.

Balanced, fair, and serious. Good group.

I can see the debate now.

"Obama - the worst US President in history or the worst leader of any nation in history?"

"America - how great are we?"

I see some people want these ignorant know-nothings to moderate a debate.

Why?

Why do we want to drive the quality of these charades down even further?

"Gold, Jerry! Gold!"

Poe would be rolling in his grave if he were dead.

It's a GOP debate. The quality isn't going up.

Okay then, how about Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, and Michael Savage for the next CNBC Democratic debate? Seems to be in the same spirit of "objective" journalism.;)

Ya, that's a good idea. They should be able to answer questions from their detractors without turning into whiny crybabies.

"How about people who will totally kiss our asses moderate the debate?"

It's un-fucking believable, yet it's now typical.

Before the days of Fox News this would have been like a POTUS candidate actively seeking out the Weekly World News to moderate a debate. But now it's just the way it is.

I'm going with the uncensored option for debate moderators Bill Maher, Noam Chomsky, the Pope, Ralph Nader, and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
