The entire anti-LGBT "bathroom" movement is based on the notion that if you let transgendered men and women use the bathrooms they want to use, those bathrooms will quickly be overrun by straight perverts. Nobody says the LGBT Americans would pose any problem at all, it's the straight people you can't trust. People like Sandy Rios would wander into the women’s restroom and ogle the patrons every chance you gave them, says Sandy Rios, if they thought that was an option.

And the American Family Association, lo and behold, just happens to be staffed with people who eagerly volunteer to do exactly that.

You know, it isn’t really clear that any of these people know how restrooms work. There are stalls, and privacy, and in order to ogle your fellow bathroom-users you have to put some pretty visible effort in. There are very few people who just stand around bein' naked in the middle of the restroom, whether people of the opposite sex are there or not. I'm not sure how conservative Christians do it, though, since it sounds like maybe the restrooms at the American Family Association are more of a free-for-all?

"When nature calls" was coded language for "when you want to get raped." So you only went to the bathroom when you wanted to be raped by an adult.

Trauma?
Little girls see men all the time. Are they really going to be traumatized by seeing them in yet one more room, or are they not going to be traumatized until a grownup comes along to tell them they've been traumatized?

And, hey, if the AFA works hard enough at this, and puts enough people in the 'wrong' bathrooms, I think they're going to desensitize a generation to the occupants of the bathrooms. Kids'll grow up knowing that you have to be ready, when you come out of the stall, to face any number of perverted weirdos waving AFA pamphlets. Just don't make eye contact, keep moving, wash your hands and get out.
