TYT and Alex Jones clash at RNC

Did you good people see this? The Young Turks, a youtube news channel that was pulling hard for Bernie Sanders earlier this year, and that has generally been liberal and progressive, was reporting from the RNC and giving their views etc, when Alex Jones (nutbar conspiracy kook) walked onto their set (he says he was invited by the TYT crew). Cenk, leader of TYT was trolled by Jones and flipped out. Anna, another TYT host flipped out and called somebody a "fat fuck" (which contradicts her frequently stated position against body shaming). Jimmy, another TYT host spat water in Jones' face (which is assault). It was all quite shocking and hasn't been reported anywhere that I can find other than random youtube people. It is a rare day that Alex Jones looks like the calm sane one.

Quite a spectacle. And quite a downward spiral TYT is in. First the Sam Harris debacle with them. Now this. As Dave Rubin (who used to be on their show) says, progressives like Cenk are becoming regressives, and is sad to see.

This plays into the overall arc of the rise of the regressive left, which also includes the campus "safe spaces" and "trigger warnings" craziness, and the identity policies on crack that we've seen so much of lately in the USA. That crap isn't liberal. It gives actual progressive liberals a bad image. It makes me feel a little like peaceful muslims must feel when seeing islamists spout off. How do we reign this stuff in?

How is it shocking? This is Alex Jones we're talking about. He exists soley to be crazy and you're concerned about someone spitting water in his face? Why should I be sympathetic to Jones?

If that was Cenk doing that to Alex's stage, he probably would have been shot eventually.

I'm not a fan of Uygur, but so what if he disagreed with Harris or Rubin? Is Harris your god?

Say what you want about Alex Jones but it made me giggle the way he snuck into that Bohemian Grove Club and filmed all those rich people in costumes and chanting to some stupid owl statue.:hysterical:
 
If anyone thinks that this makes Alex Jones look anywhere close to "sane", there's something very wrong with their thought process.

Spitting water is someones face is assault. And Cenk himself has said as much on his show. I think it was when a Trump supporter did it to somebody at a rally. Jones did troll them brilliantly, but Cenk did get violent and screamed like a crazy person, and Anna did call somebody a "fat fuck" in direct contradiction to her own frequent cries to stop body shaming people. And Jimmy did spit water in Jones's face. Jones was actually trying to de-escalate the conflict. Cenk would have none of that and was clearly looking for violence.

Jones is famous for being crazy, and would usually be the one looking that way. But watch the video. Here he clearly looks like the calm sane person to Cenk's total meltdown.

NOt a good vid of it. Misses most of what happned. view the one I linked above from Jones, which includes video plus some of his crazy commentary. Or look at the other dozens of youtubers who put up better vids of it.

Yes, but Alex Jones is clearly the bigger crazy person, regardless of this event.
 
So.... a person responding in anger to a nutty conspiracy theorist disproves or invalidates or whatever their existing views why exactly?

Or I guess we live in a world where one bad day destroys their life's work?

Since when is multiple malicious smears (in the case of Harris) a "disagreement"?

The thing I've noticed about regressive leftists is that they intensely fear being called a racist, bigot, Islamophobe, homophobe, sexist, etc., but they are eager to dogpile onto one of their own with these labels at the slightest hint of failure to pass their purity test. Exactly the type of behavior seen in cults.
