I don't foresee you getting a whole lot of pushback on this. The problem is, each "side" in the conflict can easily point to the atrocities of the other. No amount of back and forth exchanging evils is going to solve the problem, prove any kind of point, or prevent deaths on either side.

I think we're missing some context here.
I'm reminded of the outrage people felt when it was reported that Pakistani Taliban militants were targeting aid workers distributing polio vaccine. People were pretty quick to condemn the Taliban and call them monsters who didn't care about kids. Months later we learned that the CIA had disguised agents as aid workers doing the distribution work in order to infiltrate the area and find OBL. Suddenly the targeting of aid workers was a hell of a lot more understandable.
A platoon of IDF soldiers fans out around a power pole on the border with Gaza while a guy in a flak jacket and helmet ascends in a crane and does something up high. This suggests what? He's doing something nice for the people of Gaza, or that he's doing something the IDF wants done?
Perhaps in the future the electric company can arrange for a Gazan electrician to accompany the Israeli guy so that suspicions can be somewhat allayed.

What is your point? It is not news that Hamas does not are about its citizens.
1) We aren't missing any context here. Hamas doesn't want that power on, it wants it's people to suffer so you'll blame Israel.
2) As for the polio vaccine--at the time they had no idea the CIA was using them as cover. It's standard tactics--oppose any good the other side does. We saw the same thing in Vietnam where the North Vietnamese would react to smallpox vaccination (it left a small mark) by chopping off the limb. No hidden context, simply ensuring the people can't get anything good from the enemy.

Because Hamas members don't need electrical power to light their tunnels, manufacture their rockets, and keep their food from spoiling, or because they have another source of electricity?
You missed the point.
A guy in a flak jacket and helmet, surrounded by a platoon of IDF soldiers and doing something at the top of a power pole, can look very sinister to people who've been victimized by guys in flak jackets and helmets who do things to the power grid while under the protection of the IDF.
Do you not realize that the line repair is in Israel, not Gaza?
There is limited generating capacity in Gaza. It's enough for Hamas, but they need to import power for the people. Denying the people power is one of their ways of making them appear mistreated in the eyes of those who are predisposed to hate the Jews.
Hamas knew the line was down. Besides, the guys working on those lines are pretty distinctive. Nobody else is going to be messing with a high tension wire!
