Trump supporters eager to get their hands on Trump-themed shirts and hats may have to wait more than they normally would have — and it’s all thanks to the president’s tariffs.

Business Insider points to a report from Chinese publication Global Times claiming that Chinese textile manufacturers that produce Trump gear are having greater trouble getting their goods into the United States thanks to the current trade war between the U.S. and China.

In particular, manufacturers are finding that their “Keep America Great” hats and “Trump 2020” flags are being held up at U.S. customs, thus delaying their delivery to customers.

“Usually the goods only take 10 days to reach US customers,” Wu Yuepei, a manager at Qiwang Textile Product, tells Global Times. “Now it is taking 15 days or longer.”

MSNBC’s Vaughn Hillyard this week visited a nail factory in Missouri that is getting absolutely crushed by President Donald Trump’s steel and aluminum tariffs.

During an interview with MSNBC, Mid-Continent Nail operations manager Chris Pratt revealed that he has already laid off 60 workers from his plant — and he warned that more jobs were at risk due to Trump’s trade wars.

“We should be thriving,” he said. “We were doing pretty good. But now, it’s like he flipped the light switch off, and it’s all because of tariffs.”
