For your amusement in the era of mideast migration and population collapse in Europe and Great Britain.

“After the horrors of the Second World War, Britain did not give up on us,” said the open letter published in The Times, the British newspaper favored by the establishment. It emphasized Germany’s appreciation that it had been welcomed back as a sovereign nation after the conflict and as a European power.

“This we, as Germans, have not forgotten and we are grateful,” the letter went on, concluding that “Britons should know: From the bottom of our hearts, we want them to stay.”

So much nicer to see red roses rather than white roses on this thing for once. Will it help or is it just politics s usual in an era of sepremeism and racism across the western world?

Your thoughts?

I think that the Germans also appreciate how easy it is to slip into know-nothingism, the blend of xenophobia, racism, and nationalism that grips so much of the right in Europe and in the Anglo-American countries now.

It's ironic that it's probably Germany's fault that we have Brexit in the first place. Had Angela Merkel not opened the floodgates to mass migration of more than a million Muslims to Europe in 2015 alone, UK would probably not have voted for the Brexit.

There are real problems with mass migration into Europe. If the mainstream parties and politicians call everybody who is against the (virtually) open borders paradigm a "racist" or a "xenophobe", and refuse to address the problem in any meaningful way, they should not be surprised if real xenophobic and racist parties gain traction.

Take the NGOs who are supposedly about rescuing people in danger of drowning in the Mediterranean but are really about being the last leg of the smuggling pipeline into Europe.
Migrants Rescued at Sea Between Death and Hope
This article is very sympathetic toward the mass migrants and the so-called "rescuers", but even this author could not avoid admitting the real reason for these NGO operations.
Daily Beast said:
Before that, a rescue by the Aquarius was intercepted by the Libyan Coast Guard, which took the people from two rubber dinghies back to Libya, which felt like a failure to the rescue crew whose life mission is to bring to Italy anyone who dares venture into the open sea.

EU should have shut them down many years ago and refused to take in the illegal migrants they insist on taking to Europe. It should not have taken somebody like Italy's Salvini to do something about these lawless NGOs/Mediterranean taxi services. But if nobody else is willing, forces like that will rise.

The real problems with mass migration in Europe are the leaders recognize need for persons to work and consume while the population knits ass hole stories of tribalism in fond memory of bound up hatred among the elderly for any kind of change no matter the need or logic of it.
