This is not an ambiguous thing. He knew what he was doing. And he knew, clearly, that going into that orgy violated the morals he foisted upon others.
His inability to not pressages the fact that his views are in bad faith, fear mongering against an innocent class (homosexuals), making claims that homosexual attraction is not innate or natural as they break SEVERAL laws pursuing it anyway.
To clarify, I think he should absolutely be able and allowed to attend drug fueled gay orgies - assuming we weren't in a pandemic and protection was used. This wasn't a moment of weakness either. The fact that he was there with a bag of drugs, with other political figures, means this probably isn't his first gay orgy.
So we have indicators of pattern, fully gnostic violation of public morals, and request to hand-wave away the reality of they hypocrisy. "Private," his ass... Probably literally...
The best part is that his own behavior is a clear indication that his positions of policy are based on lies and bad faith.
